Tiara Tiana is an African American printmaker of Cuban descent, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds a BFA in Printmaking from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she received comprehensive training in techniques such as intaglio, drypoint, collagraph, and screen printing. Her work explores themes of Black womanhood, generational trauma, care, and transformation through a combination of traditional printmaking methods and mixed media practices. Since becoming a full-time artist in 2024, Tiara has been actively pursuing fellowships and professional opportunities to expand her technical and conceptual range. She is committed to deepening her engagement with material, process, and community.
